The Sherbrook is another mixed or married wing salmon fly designed by W. Gardner. The Sherbrook gained much popularity after the fly was published in Dr. Pryce-Tannatt's book "How to Dress Salmon Flies" in 1914 and is the pattern most often tied today. The original version of the Sherbrook was published in Kelson's book "The Salmon Fly" many years before Dr. Pryce-Tannatt's version was published. The original version had a much more subdued wing and never reached the level of popularity Dr. Pryce-Tannatt's version reached.
